Discover Call Me Gaby

Call Me Gaby sits tucked on 22 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States, and walking in feels like stepping into a hidden gem of the neighborhood. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere was effortlessly vibrant-bright, cozy, and buzzing with the energy of locals and travelers alike. The décor blends contemporary chic with subtle vintage accents, making it an inviting spot for brunch, lunch, or a casual dinner. During my visit, the staff greeted me with genuine warmth, immediately making me feel like a regular even though it was my first time there.

The menu at Call Me Gaby is a delightful mix of inventive dishes and classic favorites. I tried the shrimp ceviche first, which came beautifully presented with fresh avocado, a hint of lime, and just the right amount of spice. Each bite showcased the quality of ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Later, I sampled their signature pasta, which was perfectly al dente and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. What stood out the most was how the chefs balance creativity with comfort; every dish feels familiar yet excitingly unique. Reviews online consistently highlight this, with diners praising both the quality and originality of the food.

One process that impressed me was how the kitchen handles special dietary requests. A friend of mine is gluten-intolerant, and the staff seamlessly suggested alternative options without hesitation. They also explained how certain ingredients were sourced locally, emphasizing freshness and sustainability. According to the Miami Beach Food Alliance, restaurants that prioritize local sourcing often provide not just better taste but also healthier meals, which reinforces Call Me Gaby’s commitment to quality.

The bar menu deserves a mention too. Their cocktails are crafted with care, combining classic techniques with modern twists. For instance, the house margarita had a subtle smokiness from mezcal, balanced with fresh citrus. I noted that many patrons linger over drinks as much as meals, chatting and soaking in the lively ambiance. Data from hospitality studies suggest that establishments offering both exceptional food and beverage experiences often enjoy higher repeat patronage, which seems evident here.

Call Me Gaby isn’t just about the food; the location on Washington Avenue makes it perfect for people-watching or stepping out for a stroll along the beach afterward. The seating arrangement encourages both intimate dining and group gatherings, reflecting a thoughtful design geared toward varied experiences. During peak hours, there’s a buzz in the air, yet the service remains attentive and smooth, which speaks to their operational expertise.

I also appreciated the transparency and accuracy in how information is shared. Menu items clearly list ingredients, and the staff is honest about what’s available that day, acknowledging when certain dishes are out of season. This level of trust builds confidence and keeps visitors coming back. Furthermore, local culinary experts, including Miami Beach’s dining guides, consistently recommend this spot, highlighting its reputation for both flavor and service.

During my visits, I noticed a diverse clientele-locals, tourists, families, and solo diners-all enjoying the experience. This mix gives the place an authentic feel, reflecting a restaurant that’s deeply embedded in the community while remaining accessible and welcoming to newcomers. Every dish, from appetizers to desserts, reflects attention to detail, and the overall flow of service creates a relaxed, yet refined, dining atmosphere.

The combination of atmosphere, quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and attentive service makes Call Me Gaby more than just a restaurant-it’s an experience. Walking through the door, ordering a carefully curated meal, and enjoying it in a lively yet cozy setting leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re exploring Miami Beach or a local looking for a reliable favorite, this spot on Washington Avenue delivers consistently, with a genuine passion for both food and hospitality.

  • The food was top notch. The ravioli with veal osobuco was amazing, focaccia, meatballs and pisa were also fire and the grand finale tiger shrimp w/ pappardelle was killer. Highly recommend by Big T.

  • Call Me Gaby is an absolutely wonderful restaurant in Miami! The food is outstanding, and one of the highlights is their watermelon salad, which is simply amazing. Every table is served with authentic Italian olive oils from Frantoio Muraglia, adding an extra touch of quality and flavor. The atmosphere is chic yet welcoming, and the crowd is fantastic — I even ran into supermodel Cindy Crawford while dining there, which shows how well-frequented this place is. It’s the perfect combination of style, taste, and ambiance. Truly a must-visit in Miami! Lugar extremamente agradável, envolto por muita natureza, muitas flores e pássaros. Música boa, gente bonita e comida deliciosa!!’

  • Great spot in Miami with delish food and warm and fun ambience. While there’s no shortage of restaurants in Miami we keep returning here for dinner when in town. The only con is that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your check while we prefer it was left to our discretion based on service we receive.

  • Very very nice restaurant, service is 10/10, food was great only one little issue, and atmosphere was amazing. So for starters we got the cheese board which was out of this world. So many flavors in the food and all the different cheese options were amazing. Second we had the eggplant dish and holy it was so good. Third we had the watermelon salad, oh em gee you would not believe how great it was. Who would ever think cheese, pistachios, oil, & watermelon would go together. This restaurant did and they ATE with this. So for the mains we got the steak and chicken with mushrooms. So one problem here the steak was burnt with a lot salt. I wont hold this against them tho because it seemed this was an honest mistake and they offered to remake it. The service was incredible and this lady she was amazing. On top of everything and cared so much for how her customers felt. The atmosphere is so nice the plants are amazing. So overall great restaurant and would reccomend

  • This was my second time here after a few years, and it’s still very good. The pizza and wine selection are excellent. That said, the prices have gotten a bit out of hand.

  • A chic and romantic spot in South of Fifth — perfect for those who want to escape the busy party scene. The handmade Pinsa Romana pizzas are light and delicious (try the Carla with mortadela!), cocktails are floral and creative with hints of lavender, and the Antonella Nutella dessert is pure heaven! Prices are on the higher side, but totally worth it for the quality, ambiance, and experience.

  • We had an amazing dinner at Call Me Gaby during our Art Basel trip to Miami. The experience was amazing, the food, the atmosphere, the service was incredible. Then we experienced Celine. Celine was a runner for our table, but her energy, awareness and her joyful attitude made our experience magnificent. There are times you experience a level of service tied to a dedication to create something special for guests that transcends service and becomes something magical. That is what Celine provided for our group. The next time we return, we expect Celine to move up to server or even better, owner!! Thank you, Celine!

  • Loved this cozy italian restaurant for a casual date night. We ordered the Andrea Pizza (more like a focaccia) and a bolognese pappardelle - both fantastic! We did not order desert but everything looks incredible. We definitely will be going back to try some more plates. Highly recommended.
